Catherine & Grant are so excited to celebrate their love with all of you!
How It All Began
Grant and Catherine’s story started at a St. Patrick’s Day bar crawl in Washington, DC back in 2022. Catherine’s childhood friend was dating Grant’s roommate at the time and introduced the two. Sparks flew, and after exchanging numbers, they began texting. For weeks, their schedules kept them apart as Catherine was traveling every weekend for bachelorettes and leisure trips, and Grant was traveling every week for work. But despite their busy schedules, they texted and talked every single day and haven’t stopped since.
Making It Official
After dating for 5 months, they decided to make it official. Their relationship continued to grow, and Grant even agreed to join Catherine on her international trip to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany in 2022, just one month after meeting her! It was Grant’s first time out of the country, and the two ended their European adventure in Switzerland, where Grant told Catherine he wanted to marry her.
The Proposal
Fast forward 2 years and 8 months, Grant proposed to Catherine on December 1, 2024. Catherine’s younger sister, Elisabeth, hosted a game night, one of Catherine’s favorite pastimes. Along with Elisabeth, her husband, and two of Catherine’s best friends, they started playing a game of Catan. Little did Catherine know, Grant had a surprise in store. He created custom Development Cards (Chance/Wild Cards) and waited for Catherine to draw one. As she picked up the card, Grant got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever.
And Now…
Grant and Catherine love spending time together and share so many hobbies and interests. They enjoy attending and watching all kinds of sports games, including the Bengals, FC Cincinnati, EPL Soccer, Reds and Nationals baseball, Capitals ice hockey, UFL Defenders, and USA Men’s Soccer (so basically every Cincinnati and DC sports team besides the Wizards). When they aren’t cheering on their favorite teams, they love traveling, playing board/card games (and drinking games), attending concerts, trying new restaurants, and exploring new places.
